  • 140 / 240 / 180 / 280 Turbine Pumps

    140 / 240 / 180 / 280 Turbine Pumps

    140 / 280 / 180 / 280 Regenerative Turbine Pumps

MTH 140, 240, 180 & 280 Series regenerative turbine pumps represent the most economical, high performance alternative flow (to 60 GPM) applications involving moderate to high pressures (heads to 800 feet). By combining years of regenerative turbine pump designs with precision computer controlled manufacturing, the 140 / 280 / 180 / 280 line of pumps deliver high efficiency pumping operation, even at low NPSH. High quality parts and an easily serviceable design provide low maintenance and long life.

    Impeller Blades

After the most favorable impeller profile has been determined for a particular water passageway cross-section, MTH calculates the number of blades needed to maximize the performance of that pump. Current blade design in 140 • 240 • 180 • 280 Series pumps increases both efficiency and design pressure without the manufacturing difficulties associated with producing contoured blade impellers. State-of-the-art computer controlled machines simplify manufacturing of the various MTH impellers utilized in the 140 • 240 • 180 • 280 Series. The result is a high performance pump providing efficiency characteristics exceeding those of more expensive units.

    X / X41 Series

X / X41 Sealless Canned Regenerative Turbine Pumps

MTH X41 models are sealless regenerative turbine pumps, known as canned hermetic or zero emission pumps, These turbine pumps are designed to handle applications with hard to seal fluids when leak free performance is required. Mechanical seals simply cannot provide the reliability, protection and performance needed. Water and glycol mixtures and exotic heat transfer fluids present no difficulty for these pumps at fluid temperatures from -40°C up to 130°C. MTH's canned motor design is favorable to magnetic drive couplings because it does not add length to the pumps in tight OEM enclosures. These models also do not suffer from the magnetic de-coupling problems often associated with mag-drive solutions. Three bearings, high strength cast stainless steel components, and a sealless design assure extended trouble free maintenance life span.

    X41 Design Benefits & Features

    • Extremely Long Service Life
    • Leak Free Sealless Design
    • Canned Stator Motor
    • Capacities to 22 GPM (Gallons Per Minute)
    • Heads to 450 Feet
    • Low NPSH Requirements
    • Temperature Range -40°C to 130°C
    • Compact Integrated Design
    • Stainless Steel Wetted Parts for Excellent Chemical Compatibility
    • Standard NPT Threads with optional SAE, BSP, and ISO Available
    • Conduit or Electrical Junction Box
    • Variable Frequency Drive / Transducer Package Optional

    Low NPSH Requirements
Like its T41 Series mechanically sealed counterpart, the X Series hydraulic passageways are designed to minimize thrust on the selfadjusting impeller to avoid upsetting its hydraulic balance, and to handle low NPSH conditions which can occur in some applications. New to the X Series is the location of the inlet and outlet on the centerline of the impeller to further eliminate the potential of axial imbalance that sometimes occurs during periods of marginal NPSH availability.
