V Series High-Flow Submersible Pumps Information

Features & Benefits

The V Series is designed for efficient pumping of solids-laden fluids using a vortex impeller. This design minimizes clogging by allowing solids to pass without direct impeller contact, making it ideal for sewage and fibrous liquids.

Construction and Materials

The V Series uses cast iron (EN 1561 / GG25) construction for the motor housing, volute, and impeller, providing strength and durability for heavy-duty service.

Stainless steel components, including cable glands and hardware, enhance corrosion resistance in demanding environments.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The vortex impeller creates a powerful internal circulation that moves solids through the pump without direct contact. This design reduces wear and improves reliability in challenging wastewater applications.

The pumps can handle solids up to approximately 2"–3.5"+ depending on model, with larger V4 units handling the highest solids capacity.

Motor and Operational Design

The V Series offers both 2‑pole (~3450 RPM) and 4‑pole (~1750 RPM) motor configurations:

  • 2‑pole: higher head, lower flow
  • 4‑pole: higher flow, lower head

All motors are continuous duty and equipped with dual thermal protection switches to prevent overheating.

Seal Minder® is standard across the series, providing early warning of seal failure.

Model Variations

The V Series includes two main performance groups:

V2 Series (2‑Pole)

Higher head performance with moderate flow, ideal for applications requiring lift.

V4 Series (4‑Pole)

Higher flow performance with lower head, ideal for moving large volumes of wastewater.
