The KZN MAXDuty™ Series is engineered to provide maximum durability and extended service life in abrasive slurry applications. The use of high-chrome materials across key wear components ensures long-lasting performance even in severe operating conditions.

The split-case volute design allows easier access to internal components, reducing maintenance time and improving service efficiency.

Construction and Operational Design

KZN MAXDuty™ pumps are constructed using Class 30 ductile iron with hardened ductile iron volutes. Critical wear components—including the impeller, wear plate, agitator, and volute—are manufactured from high chrome iron for maximum abrasion resistance.

The semi-open impeller design allows solids to pass through efficiently while reducing clogging in high-density slurry applications.

A heavy-duty agitator continuously mixes settled solids, improving pump efficiency and reducing sediment buildup.

Seal and Protection System

The pumps utilize a dual mechanical seal system with silicon carbide faces, housed in an oil-filled seal chamber to provide cooling and lubrication. This design ensures long-lasting protection against abrasive intrusion.

Motor protection includes thermal and amperage overload safeguards, while the optional Seal Minder® system provides early detection of moisture intrusion, helping prevent catastrophic seal failure.
