Barmesa Solids-Handling Submersible Pumps

The Barmesa Solids-Handling Submersible Pump Series is a comprehensive lineup of wastewater and sewage pumps engineered to handle suspended solids, sludge, effluent, and other demanding pumping applications. Covering horsepower ranges from 0.4 HP to 60 HP, discharge sizes from 2" to 8", and solids handling capabilities up to 3 inches, this product family provides solutions for residential, commercial, municipal, and industrial wastewater systems.

The series includes the 2BSE411/511, 2BSE-SS, 2SEV512, 3BSE-SS, 3BWSE-DS, 4BSE-SS, 4BSE-DS, 4BWSE-DS, 4BSE-HLDS, 6BSE-LDS, 6BSE-HLDS, and 8BSE-HLDS models. Each pump is designed to deliver dependable solids handling while utilizing heavy-duty cast iron construction, stainless steel shafts, oil-filled motors, and corrosion-resistant components.

Designed for Wastewater and Solids Handling

Barmesa offers several hydraulic configurations to match application requirements:

  • Open two-vane impellers for general solids handling
  • Semi-open impellers for wastewater applications
  • Closed vane impellers for higher head performance
  • Vortex impeller technology for difficult solids applications
  • Solids handling capabilities up to 3 inches depending on model

The result is a pump family capable of serving everything from residential sewage systems to municipal lift stations and industrial wastewater operations.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Across the product line, Barmesa utilizes proven materials and components designed for long service life:

  • Cast iron volutes, motor housings, and seal plates
  • 416 stainless steel shafts
  • 300 series stainless steel hardware
  • Buna-N elastomers and O-rings
  • Oil-filled motors and bearing systems
  • Epoxy-sealed or moisture-resistant cord entry systems

Many models also incorporate bronze wear rings, moisture detection systems, temperature sensors, and double mechanical seals for added protection and reliability.

Advanced Seal and Motor Protection

Depending on the series, pumps feature either single mechanical seals or double mechanical seals operating within oil-filled seal chambers.

Additional protection features available on larger models include:

  • Moisture sensors
  • Temperature sensors
  • Oil-filled motor construction
  • Class F insulation
  • Silicon carbide seal faces
  • Overload protection compatibility

These features help protect the pump from premature wear while providing early warning of potential service issues.
