Overview


The Yamada NDP-800 Series is a heavy-duty air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump designed for high-volume industrial fluid transfer applications. Built with a 3-inch port configuration and stainless steel construction, the NDP-800 extends the proven NDP platform into larger capacity services where higher flow rates and reliable pneumatic operation are required. The pump is designed to handle a wide range of liquids, including fluids containing suspended solids, while maintaining the self-priming and non-electric operating characteristics associated with diaphragm pump technology.

The NDP-800 is part of Yamada's established NDP product family and utilizes a common design philosophy focused on durability, serviceability, and operational flexibility. Its large-capacity fluid path and air-driven operation make it suitable for demanding transfer, circulation, loading, and unloading duties across a variety of industrial environments.


Design and Construction


The NDP-800 features a stainless steel wetted body designed for corrosion resistance and long service life in industrial applications. The air-operated double diaphragm design eliminates the need for electric motors at the pump location and uses compressed air to reciprocate diaphragms that move fluid through alternating pumping chambers.

A significant design feature of the NDP-800 is its component commonality with Yamada's NDP-80 platform. The pump utilizes the same wear parts as the NDP-80, simplifying maintenance procedures and reducing spare parts inventory requirements for facilities operating multiple Yamada diaphragm pump models. Square mounting flanges support the pump during maintenance activities, allowing technicians to disassemble and service internal components with improved stability and accessibility.


Hydraulics


The NDP-800 is designed for high-capacity fluid handling with flow rates reaching approximately 305 GPM. The large 3-inch port configuration supports efficient bulk fluid transfer while maintaining the operational advantages of diaphragm pump technology. As with other AODD pumps, flow output can be adjusted through air supply regulation to accommodate varying process requirements.

The pump is capable of handling liquids containing suspended solids and can pass particulates up to approximately 10 mm in diameter. Self-priming capability allows the pump to operate in applications where the liquid source is located below the pump installation, providing flexibility in process and transfer system design.


Materials


Wetted components are available in stainless steel construction for applications requiring resistance to corrosion and chemical attack. To accommodate a broad range of process fluids, the NDP-800 is offered with multiple diaphragm and elastomer materials including Buna-N, Neoprene, Santoprene, EPDM, PTFE, Hytrel, Viton, and Yamada Ultimate elastomers.

This range of material options allows the pump to be configured for compatibility with various chemicals, process solutions, water-based fluids, and general industrial liquids while matching specific operating and maintenance requirements.


Applications


The NDP-800 Series is used in industrial fluid transfer services where high flow capacity, solids handling capability, and pneumatic operation are required. Typical applications include chemical transfer, bulk liquid movement, process circulation, wastewater transfer, tank filling and unloading, and general manufacturing processes.

Its stainless steel construction and broad elastomer selection make the pump suitable for use across chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, water treatment, and other facilities that require dependable handling of both clean and solids-laden fluids.


Maintenance Features


The NDP-800 incorporates serviceability features intended to simplify routine maintenance and component replacement.
