End Caps and Backside Seals Sealing accessories, such as end caps and backside shields, provide enhanced bearing protection and improve safety. End caps safeguard against rotating shafts, meeting OSHA personal protection requirements. Together, these accessories offer improved resistance to high-pressure washdowns and help minimize bearing exposure to moisture. Backside shield gaskets, mounted between the bearing and equipment frame, further reduce moisture runoff.
End Caps End caps are designed to provide additional protection from high-pressure washdowns, reduce moisture contact with bearings, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety standards.
- Polymer Snap-On Cap Made of polypropylene for excellent corrosion resistance, these caps snap easily into place and feature a shielded drain hole to prevent moisture buildup against the bearing.
- Stainless Bolt-On End Cap Constructed from durable 304 stainless steel, these caps offer exceptional resistance to corrosion and chemicals. Secured with four cap screws for reliable attachment, they include a drain hole positioned at the bottom to minimize moisture accumulation near the bearing. Backside Shield
Backside shields are mounted between the bearing and equipment frame to manage moisture runoff. They are compatible with two- and four-bolt flange-mounted ball bearings. Made from nitrile rubber gaskets paired with a 304 stainless steel plate for added durability, these shields include drain slots to reduce moisture buildup at the back of the bearing housing.
