The SXF Series is designed for applications where both high temperature operation and corrosion resistance are required. The stainless steel construction resists aggressive fluids, while the open vane impeller allows solids to pass without clogging. This combination provides reliable performance in demanding thermal and chemical environments.

Construction and Materials

The SXF Series is built from cast 316 stainless steel across all major wetted components, including the motor housing, volute, and impeller. This weld-free construction ensures long-term durability and resistance to corrosion.

Dual mechanical seals operate in an oil-filled chamber and use FKM elastomers to withstand both high temperatures and chemical exposure.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The pump features an open vane non-clog impeller that balances solids handling capability and hydraulic efficiency. This design allows the pump to handle solids up to approximately 2.5 inches while maintaining higher head performance compared to vortex-type pumps.

Motor and Operational Design

The SXF Series uses oil-filled submersible motors designed for high temperature environments. Motors are equipped with embedded thermal sensor switches that monitor winding temperature and interrupt operation if limits are exceeded, automatically resetting once safe conditions return.

Class R insulation supports operation in extreme temperature environments, and Seal Minder® moisture detection provides early indication of seal failure.

Model Variations

The SXF Series includes a range of models to cover different flow and head requirements. Smaller models such as the SX08CSSF provide compact solutions for low-flow applications. Mid-range units such as SX15CSSF and SX22CSSF handle general systems. Larger models such as SX37CSSF, SX55CSSF, and SX75CSSF provide higher flow and head capacity for demanding installations.
