Construction and Materials

The S Series incorporates a cast iron volute and hydraulic components to withstand abrasive and solids-laden fluids. The motor housing is constructed from 304 stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance in wet environments. Mechanical seals are configured in a double arrangement and operate in an oil-filled chamber for lubrication and cooling. Elastomer options are available depending on application requirements.

Hydraulic and Pump Design

The hydraulic system uses a dual vane, non-clog impeller design that allows solids to pass through the pump with reduced risk of blockage. The pump is configured for side discharge operation, supporting efficient flow and installation flexibility in lift stations and basins. A suction strainer limits oversized solids while allowing spherical solids within design limits to pass through the pump.

Motor and Operational Design

The S Series is equipped with a high-speed two-pole motor operating at approximately 3450 RPM. The motor uses Class H insulation for high temperature tolerance and includes built-in thermal and amperage overload protection.
