The KBF Series is designed to handle abrasive slurry at elevated temperatures while maintaining strong hydraulic performance. The combination of high-chrome iron components and an integrated agitator ensures efficient solids handling and reduced wear over time.

Seal Minder® monitoring and embedded thermal sensors provide early warning and protection, helping to prevent damage and improve reliability in demanding environments.

Construction and Operational Design

KBF pumps are constructed using cast iron, ductile iron, and high-chrome iron components. The impeller, wear plate, and agitator are manufactured from abrasion-resistant hi-chrome materials, providing excellent wear resistance in slurry applications.

The sealing system features a double mechanical seal configuration. The lower seal uses silicon carbide faces for durability in abrasive conditions, while the upper seal uses carbon/ceramic faces. A lip seal provides additional protection against fluid intrusion.

Each pump is powered by a 2-pole motor operating at approximately 3450 RPM. Class R insulation supports high-temperature operation, while built-in thermal protection with embedded winding sensors ensures safe operation.

A cooling jacket circulates pumped liquid around the motor housing, allowing for continuous-duty performance even in hot liquids.
