BIC Series Submersible Electric Pumps

BIC Series Submersible Electric Pumps

The BIC Series Advantage: High-Performance Dewatering for Clear and Light Sewage

The BJM Pumps BIC Series Submersible Pumps are engineered for efficient handling of clear water and light sewage across residential, commercial, and light industrial applications. Designed with a twin channel (two vane) impeller, this series delivers strong hydraulic performance while maintaining reliable solids passage in demanding dewatering environments.

With a focus on efficiency and durability, the BIC Series combines compact construction with high-capacity performance, making it an ideal solution for rainwater collection systems, sump drainage, and light wastewater transfer. Multiple horsepower configurations and both single-phase and three-phase voltage options provide flexibility for a wide range of installations.

Built for Consistent Hydraulic Performance

The BIC Series is built around a high-efficiency hydraulic design that enables strong flow rates and dependable head performance. The twin channel impeller allows liquids with small solids and debris to pass through the pump without excessive clogging, making it well suited for applications involving clean water or lightly contaminated fluids.

Constructed with GG20 cast iron across major components, including the pump body and impeller, the series is designed to withstand continuous operation in wet environments. Operating at approximately 3450 RPM, the submersible motor provides reliable output while maintaining efficiency across a range of flow conditions.

These pumps are designed for full submersion and can handle liquid temperatures up to 104°F and submersion depths up to 65 feet when properly installed.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Twin Channel Impeller Design: Provides efficient flow with controlled solids handling for clear water and light sewage
  • High Hydraulic Performance: Designed to deliver strong flow rates and head performance across multiple models
  • Durable Cast Iron Construction: GG20 cast iron components ensure long-lasting operation in dewatering environments
  • Solids Handling Capability: Handles solids up to 20 × 10 mm, suitable for lightly contaminated water
  • EVO Seal Option: Double mechanical seal in an oil chamber improves protection and reliability
  • Flexible Operation Options: Available in single-phase and three-phase configurations with float switch compatibility

Advanced Sealing and Maintenance Accessibility

The BIC Series incorporates sealing systems designed to protect internal components in submerged conditions. EVO versions include a double mechanical seal located in an oil-filled chamber, using carbon/ceramic and silicon carbide materials to provide enhanced resistance to leakage and wear.

An inspection oil chamber allows for easier monitoring and maintenance, helping ensure long-term performance with minimal downtime. Combined with stainless steel hardware and corrosion-resistant materials, these pumps are built for consistent operation in wet and demanding environments.
